Sounds so good! Makes me think of stepping back in time not long ago to Chicken Every Sunday, a 1943 memoir (more of a yarn?) about growing up in a boardinghouse at the turn of the century. Maybe not very similar except funny and remote. I'll look for Miss Buncle. I need her.
I loved Miss Buncle so much.
It was a lovely, all-too-brief respite from reality.
How cool. I love the fact of the bookstore for neglected books. This book sounds like a real delight, and we surely could use some of that right now.

Just what I need right now! Thanks for the rec.
