I'm having a sense of deja vu reading your review of this book. I know I have not read it, but I wonder if I encountered a similar storyline somewhere recently. Perhaps a movie or a streamed series? I am mystified, but this does sound good.
I’m so glad you like the book. I also feel the same as you. It’s strange how sometimes you have to walk away from your life to know who you are! Am reading pico Iyer’s book about his annual time in a Catholic monastery in Big Sur
